I cannot get enough of this song. We sing it at church and it is just amazing. I cannot help but lift my hands and worship Christ. I love it! I hope you enjoy it too!

cool apps

I bought Josh an iPhone for our anniversary and I of course bought myself one too. I am obsessed with it! I had a blackberry and I thought that was great...until I got my iPhone. The only bad thing is I can't BBM mel all day long. We both jailbroke our phones which has been awesome. I recommend it if you don't mind voiding the warranty. Since we got them, I have found some really awesome apps. So I decided to share a couple with my fellow iPhone/iPad people

10 must have apps
1. FatBooth - you take a picture of your friend and then it makes the picture of them fat. It is hilarious!
2. Dragon Dictation - you talk and it converts it to text. you can email, facebook, twitter, or text what you said.
3. 360 Panorama - you can take multiple pictures and it meshes them together to make a panoramic picture. it will even do a full 360 degree picture.
4. WunderRadio - you search a radio station from anywhere and it tells you whats playing and lets you listen. they even have the best of rick and bubba anytime you want.
5. SoundHound - this is like music id but better. it is great and finding songs and it even pulls up lyrics for the song you're trying to figure out.
6. Cut the Rope - this is a game and it is highly addicting so beware.
7. Flixster - looks up movie theaters and movie times. very helpful if you're out of town.
8. Instagram - its a camera that has a ton of effects you can edit your photos with and then upload them to twitter. if you don't like this one, Camera+ is cool too. i have both.
9. How to Cook Everything - self-explanatory
10. Barcode Scanner - this will scan a barcode and look it up on amazon and other internet sites to see the lowest price. helpful

hargreaves and prom

This past Friday, we didn't have classes because it was Hargreave's Day. It is basically Field Day for pharmacy school. Each class has a team and we compete against each other. Our class is the Blue Barracudas. The events were wiffle ball, kickball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and tug of war. Me and Josh did tug of war. It was so much fun. Our class came in 2nd place. The P3s take it much more seriously than everyone else so they won. But it was still a ton of fun! It was a nice break from class.

Saturday night was the prom. The pharmacy school had a prom that they said you could dress tacky or nice or just come and have fun. We ent to the thrift store and Josh found a ruffly yellow shirt and I found a pink dress complete with a butt ruffle and puffy sleeves. Kim dressed up like Jersey Shore. I made us fake corsages and josh even got a fake flower to pin on and off we went to the prom. We got there and apparently the P1s were the only ones who thought it wasn't our senior prom. Me, Kim, Josh, and one other guy were dressed tacky. EVERYONE else was in for real prom dresses. It was a little weird but we rocked it and had a blast. Josh was even voted P1 Prom King! Congrats deary! Maybe next year we will make sure if it is actually tacky.

hectic

Since we got back from spring break pharmacy school has really turned it up. We have about 3 things a week. We get through with one test and we have 2 assignments to do. We have to study 4 things at one time. I don't know why we couldn't do some of these things in the first 3 months of school instead of cramming everything into 1 month. So that I why I have been absent from blogging. But we only have FIVE WEEKS left of our first year of pharmacy school! I cannot believe it! God has absolutely blown my mind with his blessing in my life. When I think I can't do it or I am just too overwhelmed, I get a REALLY good grade on a test when everyone else (besides smarty pants Josh) failed it. He is so awesome. Christ will never fail me.

On a different nerdy pharmacy note...Did yall see the news about hospitals having contaminated TPNs? My PPE mentor works at Princeton so she was one of the ones writing orders and giving these patients their TPNs. If you haven't seen the news, 6 hospitals in Alabama recieved TPNs that were contaminated with a bacteria called Serratia marcescens. TPN stands for total parenteral nutrition. It is an IV infusion of glucose lipids and fats (all good at growing bacteria) that has to be prepared and be sterile because it goes straight into the blood. So these Alabama hospitals ordered TPNs from this company who sent them contaminated ones. Every time someone gave a patient a TPN they were infusing their blood with bacteria. Some patients require TPN on a daily basis and it took a while for anyone to make the connection that the bacteria was coming from the TPNs. The only time that the same person does all of the TPNs is on the weekends so this past weekend an AUBURN PHARMACY SCHOOL graduate noticed that every single patient in the hospital that was recieving TPN also had Serratia marcescens. Interesting stuff huh?

belated music monday

We had a DAD test today and since I took full advantage of Spring Break I have been studying every minute I could for that test. For that reason I missed music monday. Matt Wertz is an artist that I have loved since I was in high school. His older stuff was good then and his new stuff is great too. His new album Weights and Wings just came out last Tuesday and I highly recommend it. This is one of my favorite songs from his new album.  Enjoy!

home

Spring Break was so much fun. The place we stayed was so nice! It was the end unit so it had the balcony all the way around it. The weather was BEAUTIFUL the entire week. We didn't even have clouds.

We had some good good food. We played some games (don't ever play quelf. it is not fun). The boys even let us watch the bachelor...all 3 hours of it. Josh made some delicious homemade ice cream. We even flew kites!

It was so much fun. I did not want to come home. Now I am back in Auburn and back to working and studying. I hope everyone enjoyed (and is still enjoying) their spring break. Summer break cannot get here soon enough.
